Remembering Len Bias

Since it was NBA draft yesterday and Boston just won the championship two weeks ago, might as well post videos of a player that was Len Bias.

Len Bias became one of the biggest "what ifs?" in the NBA when he died from cocaine overdose 2 days after being selected by the Celtics as the 2nd overall pick in the 1986 draft. He was a very gifted athlete. In my opinion, he is a more polished player than Michael Jordan coming out of college.

Bias' death changed the league's history. Imagine the possibilities if he had a chance to play. The Celtics might have continued their winning ways through the 90's with McHale, Parish and Bird playing alongside. He might have been a _th time NBA all-star, a champion, or even a hall of famer. We can only imagine.

Things That Make You Go Awwwww.

Christian the Lion reunion.

Christian is the name of a lion bought from Harrods department store in 1969 by Australian John Rendall and his friend Ace Berg. Harrods acquired the cub from Ilfracombe zoo and sold Christian for 250 guineas - along with diet sheets to accompany him! So began Christian's year as an urban lion. Christian was given his own living quarters (and a very large kitty-litter tray, which he used unfailingly) in the basement of the appropriately named Sophistocat furniture shop.

This Takes Me Back. Vol. 2

"One lonely star, you don't know who you are."

One of my favorite ballads of all time. Another Babyface-produced hit from the 90's. IMO, his background vocals is what made the song a classic. I just hope that someone is not stupid enough would ever attempt to remake this. (WORD TO O.P.M. AND TALENT SHOWS IN PHILIPPINE TELEVISION)

Previously on the David Stern Show

The men in green rallied from a 24-point deficit to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 5 is on Monday (Philippine time). Will Boston clinch it for their 17th championship or will LA extend it to another game? We'll find out...

I really hope David Stern will work his "magic" again. This finals are too boring.

Are you there Mr. Stern? If you could make a Boston/LA finals for good ratings, then why not push it through game 7 to make it more interesting! This is what fans have been waiting for. Twenty one years in the making! You can do it Mr. Stern... You can do it! hahahaha!

Frozen In Time - 6/14/98

I cant believe it. Its exactly a decade today that Michael Jordan hit his last shot as a Bull to win his sixth title. The NBA has never been the same since then...

This Takes Me Back

Song (Voices That Care) was made to help boost the morale of U.S. troops in the Gulf War of 1991.
A lot of amazing talent in this video.
